"British hard rockers Tucky Buzzard formed in 1969, and during their five-year career together as a band, featured members David Brown (bass), Paul Francis (drums), Nick Graham (keyboards), Jimmy Henderson (vocals), Chris Johnson (drums), Terry Taylor (guitar), and Paul Kendrick (guitar, vocals). The group is best remembered amongst hardcore Rolling Stones fans for the fact that former Stones bassist Bill Wyman served as producer (and played on) a few of their albums. BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA - Duets (2009)

The Blind Boys have frequently been invited to appear on other great artists' albums, resulting in a number of performances that have been collected into Duets. Their first-ever duets collection includes songs with Ben Harper, Bonnie Raitt, Randy Travis, Lou Reed, Solomon Burke, Susan Tedeschi and Asleep at the Wheel. In addition, it features three new recordings with Lou Reed, blues legend John Hammond, and Jamaican legend Toots Hibbert of Toots & The Maytals. The diverse group of artists collaborating on Duets reflects the expansive appeal of the group as well as the sweeping reverence for their talent. This new album follows their Grammy and Dove Award-winning CD Down in New Orleans.

On the one hand, Duets includes traditional blues artists like Charlie Musselwhite (I Had Trouble), John Hammond (One Kind Favor), and Solomon Burke (None Of Us Are Free), their gravelly voices highlighted against the loamy blend of the Blind Boys harmonies. On the other hand, country/western artists like Randy Travis (Up Above My Head) and the swing band Asleep At the Wheel (The Devil Aint Lazy) call on the Blind Boys exquisite rhythmic gifts to punctuate more jubilant songs.

HILL COUNTRY REVUE - Make A Move (2009)

Hill Counry Revue is the modern Southern Rock / Blues band for the new generation. Formed by Cody Dickinson from The North Mississippi Allstars in 2008, it features Chris Chew, Kirk Smithhart, Ed Hot Cleveland and Dixie Dan Coburn. The bands debut album, Make a Move, will be released by Razor and Tie Records in May 2009. Hill Country Revue will tour the country up until the release of the record. For the summer of 2009 HCR will focus on Festival and support slots. Fall 2009 will be compromised of a headlining national tour. As part of the North Mississippi Allstars, Cody Dickinson and Chris Chew have three Grammy nominated albums under their belt.
